714 二十週年感言

在成立20週年之際，《同路人》網站最近增設了兩個欄目，一個是每一天的新聞報導，另一個是與澳洲聯合新聞社合作的「真假新聞審視」。這對於我來說，是一個意義深遠的時刻，回顧我們一路走來的歷程，我心中滿是感慨和感恩。

《同路人》現時以每兩週出版介紹澳洲生活及評論世界大事為主題，以尊重普世價值為基礎，邀請讀者融入澳洲，建立成為多元文化澳洲人。過去的歲月裡，我們一直秉持著這個信念，但我們也明白，主流社會媒體選取的資訊題材及關注重點，往往無法真正照顧到移民的特殊需求。因此，我們在網絡平台上增加了這兩個欄目，期盼能為華人社區提供更加全面且高質素的服務。

每一天的新聞報告內容，取材自多元文化廣播議會的新聞資訊網站，關注移民的需要，並且也融合了其他新聞資訊合作夥伴的內容。目前，我們提供每天4-5分鐘的新聞廣播，訊息量會隨著需求慢慢增加，並會在其他中文社區電台進行播放。而「真假新聞審視」則是為了提供專業的假新聞審核，幫助讀者了解真實新聞的重要性。

有人認為，成長於中國的人或許不太重視新聞的真實性，因為在那樣的環境中，媒體更多是為當權者服務，傳遞的往往是當局希望人民知道和相信的訊息。因此，讀者們學會了如何分辨要相信什麼，不相信什麼——年輕時，可能什麼都信，但隨著年齡增長，開始學會選擇性相信。然而，我始終堅信，真實報導是媒體的責任，這也是我當初創辦《同路人》的初衷。我希望為華人社區提供一個真實、透明的訊息來源，讓大家在這片新天地中，能擁有自己的判斷力。

最初創辦《同路人》，只是盼望為華人社區提供一個另類訊息來源以及多元觀點的刊物。沒想到今天，我們已成為少數仍然存在、可以說真話的中文平台。我們堅持談論自己真正相信的事情，並以真誠的態度評論世界。我相信，這個平台能為新來到澳洲、盼望融入這片土地並在這裡建立新生活的華人移民，提供有用且真實的資訊，幫助他們更好地融入並豐富他們的生活。這是我們出版《同路人》的初心，也是今天我們堅持不懈的目標。

在這個特別的時刻，我衷心感謝華人社區中，一直以來支持我們的朋友們，感謝你們的信任與鼓勵。我希望你們能繼續與我們同行，使用我們的廣告服務，推薦給更多身邊的朋友，並且給我們反饋，讓我們能做得更好，發展得更全面，成為更具影響力的澳洲中文資訊平台。

On our 20^th Anniversary there are two newly set up items on the Sameway website: one is a daily news digest and the other one “A check on fake news” in collaboration with Australian Associated Press. This is an occasion with deep meaning to me as we reflect on our past journey with sentiment and thanksgiving.

Sameway is published fortnightly to cover Australian living and major world happenings. We respect world values and invite readers to integrate as a multicultural Australians. We persisted in this vision as we knew mainstream media could not cater for immigrants’ special information needs of their interest. Hence we introduced these two new items on our website for a comprehensive and quality service to the Chinese community.

Our daily news source from news website of the National and Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council (NEMBC) with special reference to immigrants’ need and other news media partners’ input. Our daily news last for 4-5 minutes which should lengthen as we go and would be broadcasted through other Chinese community radio stations. ‘A check on fake news’ is to help readers understand the importance of true news as we provide professional scrutiny on those not.

Some people may think that one born and grew up in China may not care about truth of news as in there news media is being used by people in authority to tell what they want the public to know. Readers actually learn how to read news selectively especially they grow to be mature. But I still insist that truth is the fundamental responsibility of media which was my belief I first launched Sameway. I always want to provide Chinese community with a true and transparent source of information such that everyone in this new piece of land could exercise an own judgement.

The aim of establishing Sameway was to provide the Chinese community with a publication a choice of information with multi-perspectives. Hard to believe that till to date we are quite the only Chinese ones around speaking the truths. We insist to cover topics we truly believe and to make sincere comments on world matters. I believe this publication can help new Chinese immigrants to lead an integrated and plentiful new life here through our useful and true information. This was our initial vision and still is something we strive to achieve.
