2021 REJOICE MANNINGHAM Lunar New Year 填色比賽
Chinese New Year is the first day of the New Year in the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year. Every Chinese lunar year is represented by a zodiac animal sign and year 2021 will be the year of OX. Chinese New Year is one of the world’s most colourful events with celebrations across the world.
With the tremendous support given from the Manningham Council and its grant program, Rejoice Community Centre will hold the 2021 CNY Fun Fair in Manningham as per previous years. REJOICE MANNINGHAM Lunar New Year Fun Fair Festival will be held on 27 February 2021 from 10am to 4pm in MC Square (687 Doncaster Road, Doncaster). Everyone will be welcome to join and have fun. We have lion dance, fire crackers, and presentation of awards in the opening ceremony at 11am on that day. You can also enjoy the stalls, games, jumping castle, face painting, red couplets, free gifts and cultural performances during the event.
In conjunction with the fun fair, we have a colouring contest for kids from 3 to 12 years old. The objective is to create greater awareness of the Chinese culture with the wider community.
In the CNY Colouring Contest held last year, over 300 entries were received. We were overwhelmed and impressed by the great creativity and artistic talents in the submissions. The school and the individual winners were awarded on 8 Feb 2020 by Mayor Paul McLeish at MC Square Doncaster.
A group prize will be awarded to the school/organisation with the greatest number of entries. Individual prizes are awarded to the top three drawings and the one with greatest creativity observed. Prizes and certificates will be awarded during the opening ceremony of 2021 Rejoice Manningham CNY Fun Fair.
Every submission can get a gift on the opening ceremony.
